At our office, Dr. Brand, Dr. Sawicki and their team are committed to providing you and your family with friendly, high-quality dental care. Our primary goal is making you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit is all about you – your comfort, your happiness, and your health. During your first visit, we will have a chance to learn what is most important to you regarding goals for your mouth, review your dental and medical history forms, and the dentist will do a very thorough clinical examination, including photographs, and X-rays of your teeth and mouth. Then, we will discuss the initial findings from the exam, start the process of creating your customized treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have. At your second appointment, you will have the opportunity to review with Susanne, our facilitator, all of the exam findings and the treatment plan that Dr Sawicki or Dr Brand has recommended for you, including whatever options are available to you. Also, you will see one of our terrific hygienists to begin your ongoing hygiene care, and whatever hygiene recommendations the dentist has prescribed for your care.
What should I bring to my first dental appointment?
Remember to bring these with you to your first appointment!
- Your completed patient information form
- Any information about you or your mouth you think we should know
- Your smile!
How often should I schedule dental check ups?
Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile! The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Because no two patients are alike, the recommendations will be tailored to fit your particular situation and your preferences.
We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you're preparing to visit us, feel free to ask about the length of a particular appointment, so that you know what to expect time-wise.
